E. Spaziante, L'aborto nel mondo Aggiornamento statistico-epidemiologico in tema di aborto legalmente registrato

Il confronto tra i dati statistici concernenti gli aborti indotti, legalmente registrati, mostra che fra gli indici di abortività riferiti per il 1995 ed il 1996, venticinque nazioni hanno presentato variazioni rispetto all'anno precedente.

Complessivamente, per le suddette nazioni, si è passati da un totale di 8.857.953 aborti indotti registrati nell'anno precedente, ad un totale di 6.014.649 aborti riferiti nell'anno successivo, di più recente rilevazione, e dunque con una differenza di 2.843.304 in meno equivalente ad un calo, per i dati assoluti, del 32,09%.

Le nazioni che hanno registrato il calo più imponente nel numero degli aborti sono state la Polonia (con il 60,7% in meno), la Russia (con il 46,6% in meno), la Repubblica Ceca (con il 44% in meno), la Romania (con il 15,3% in meno).

L'aumento numerico assoluto più consistente si è registrato in Estonia (43,6% in più), nel Kyrgyzstan (con il 20,4% in più), in Olanda (con il 7,7% in più), in Grecia (con il 7,8% in più).

Per quanto riguarda l'indice di abortività riferito al numero dei nati vivi nello stesso anno, si riscontra che le variazioni più significative sono state registrate per la Russia, la Romania, l'Ungheria, la Polonia.

L'incremento più rilevante dell'indice di abortività riferita a 100 nati vivi viene registrato in Estonia, in Bulgaria, in Lettonia. 

The comparison between the statistical data concerning legally registered abortion, shows that among the indexes of abortion referred for 1995 and 1996, 25 countries presented variations compared with the previous year.

For the above mentioned countries, a total of 8.857.953 abortions were registered in 1995 and a total of 6.014.649 abortions were registered in 1996, with a difference of 2.843.304 which is a decrease of 32.09%.

The countries with the greatest decrease of abortions were Poland (60.7% less), Russia (46.6% less), the Czech republic (44.0% less) and Romania (15.3% less).

The greatest increase was recorded in Estonia (43.6% more), in Kyrgyzstan (20.4% more), Holland (7.7% more) and Greece (7.8% more).

As for the index of abortions referred to the number of live born infants in the same year, the greatest variations were recorded in Russia, Romania, Hungary and Poland.

The most important increase of the index of abortions referred to 100 live born infants was recorded in Estonia, Bulgaria and Latvia.
